Cost Report Analyst – North Carolina 

Are you a detail-oriented and analytical professional looking for a meaningful opportunity in a healthcare reimbursement?  APB Search works extensively in the reimbursement space and we are working with one of North Carolina’s most respected health systems to add a high caliber Cost Report Analyst to its team.  This is a key position on the Strategic Finance team and your work with help to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance and identifying financial opportunities for the health system.

As a Cost Report Analyst, you will:

  • Prepare and analyze Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payer cost reports in compliance with regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather and validate financial and statistical data required for cost report submissions.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of financial records, expense allocations, and revenue data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant regulations and guidelines to ensure adherence and identify potential areas of risk or opportunity.
  • Assist with specialty calculations related to DSH, GME, Wage Index, etc.
  • Participate in audits and external reviews related to cost reporting, providing necessary documentation and explanations as needed.
  • Generate financial reports and presentations to communicate findings and insights to internal stakeholders and leadership.
  • Assist in the development of financial models and forecasting related to reimbursement and cost allocation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 
  • Prior experience in healthcare finance, cost reporting, or related roles.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, data manipulation, and spreadsheet software (Excel, Google Sheets, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement methodologies and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within tight deadlines.

Network Administrator – Alabama

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Network Administrator to join our team. As a leading healthcare provider, we are committed to providing our patients with high-quality care, and we are looking for a qualified Network Administrator to help us achieve this goal.

Responsibilities:

      • Design, install, and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, and firewalls.

      • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues, including network connectivity and hardware failures.

      • Ensure network security and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

      • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights.

      • Implement and maintain network backup and disaster recovery solutions.

      • Identify opportunities for network improvements and recommend solutions.

      • Create and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.

    Requirements:

        • Associates degree in Computer Science or a related field.

        • 3+ years of experience in network administration.

        • Knowledge of network protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.

        • Experience with firewall technologies and network security best practices.

        • Familiarity with network backup and disaster recovery solutions.

        • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

        • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

              Nurse Manager, NICU – Kentucky

                  • 30 Bed Unit – Majority of rooms are private

                  • 4,300 deliveries annually with 10% going to NICU

                  • Direct reports include Assistant Nurse Manager, 2 RN Educators

                  • 90 FTEs

                  • Magnet Hospital (masters degree required)

                  • Developing a NICU Fellowship Program – will be accredited by end of 2020

                  • Women’s & Children’s Services is a signature service line for this health system and it receives the resources it needs.

                  • Program development will be a high priority for the new Manager (example – developing a patient/family advisory council).
